YoPyr4 Week 13 Update

IMG_0786.PNG

Why does it seem that these weeks are getting busier and busier? For my own personal taste, I would like things to slow down a bit. Having to do things really cuts into my knitting and crocheting time… boo.

However… I did get these finished up this weekend…

and my sights are set on a couple things to add to my YoP list…

Something like this…

And something like this…

I did get my hands on some more lovely alpaca yarn too though…

So the YoP list is being adjusted a little again. I am going to have to pick up the pace a bit though… otherwise I will have lots of lovely knitted and crocheted items for the lady at the alpaca farm – but nothing made for Teacher gifts, bazaar items or for family for Christmas! Crazy how time marches on.

Must see how my fellow YoPpers are doing this week!

YoPyr4 week twelve update

IMG_0786.PNG

This week was busy on the work front… I guess people are getting sick at their jobs already or being called out for trainings, as that is what I wait on for my job… To sub in for those that have to be away. However that is going to change… Tomorrow! One school, all year, covering a maternity leave! I am so excited.

Anyway, on to the knitting and crochet front. Three projects completed this week. 2 bazaar and 1 for the alpaca farm lady.

Here is the result of the cowl I showed you last week, the one that had just gotten started.

Then there was this…

IMG_0893.JPG

It is a back scrubber for the shower. It is all crochet… The white part is made out if tulle and the handles are made out if a cotton, like what you would use to make washcloths. No pattern – totally made up out if my own head. However I may write it down…. And thinking about making. Ire if them. I think they are neat.

And lastly… Another pair of slippers, like the purple ones I showed you last week.

IMG_0892.JPG

I also have to finished off a couple pair of minion slippers. They both need eyes, hair and a mouth and the. They will be all done.

And I have just recently cast on a pair of mittens with the alpaca yarn… All of that yarn is almost finished. I am thinking I should just be a monogamous knitters until this yarn is finished. I am so close I can feel it.

Looking forward to the upcoming week. Must go and see what others are up to now.

YoPyr4 week eleven update

WEEK ELEVEN!?! WHHAAAATT?

IMG_0786.PNG

This week was busy for me In the knitting and crochet world.

Take a look!

Here is the Tunisian crochet washcloth I talked about last week!
It isn’t perfect, but I like it 🙂

IMG_0885.JPG

Here is another ‘toothless’ hat… Only this time to fit an adult head… I made it for a friend of mine. She is so excited to get it!

IMG_0889.JPG

This infinity scarf was sosososo fast. Chunky yarn, big needles, dropped wrapped stitches…. Quick gratification! It will be a gift for a teacher I think… Gotta start thinking about Christmas gift knitting, now that school is back in…

IMG_0886.JPG

These are cute and EASY crochet slippers. Need to made more if them… They are a great stash busting project, and just what I need for the craft shows 😉

And lastly… Remember the fingerless mitts I talked about last week? Yeah… Frogged them. Currently working in this…

IMG_0887.JPG

It will be a cowl… I love this alpaca yarn! And I am in a time crunch now… I need to be finished all these luxurious alpaca items just before the 27th of September. I can do it… I just need to stop being distracted by all the pretty things! Facebook, Instagram and Ravelry currently will be the end of me…

YoPyr4 week ten update

IMG_0786.PNG

So this week, I only semi-strayed from my YoP list some more… Only now that school has gotten back in, I feel the need to start working feverishly in YoP stuff more… However, I only semi-strayed because I did make bazaar-type crafts for the lady with the alpaca farm. Since lady weeks post, whe I pm rationed that I finished the cowl, I have also managed to make two hats and a head-band/ear warmer thing… And I have sent them off the the lady for her to sell… Now I am working with three skeins of the thinner fibre. Still alpaca, but more like socks weight… So I am starting out in making some fingerless mitts. Then I will probably do a scarf of or two, a pair of tech savvy mitts and another headband.

But here is what I made.

This hat is cool as a long beanie slouch, or as a toque with a folded over brim… And it is crochet!

This headband was super quick and so cute to make!

IMG_0879.JPG
This is a slouchy beret type hat.

Aside from the fingerless mitts that I have recently cast on, I have also been working on a cute infinity scarf that I will probably put away for a Christmas gift… Just don’t yet know for who. Photos of those two projects will be posted next week as well as a Tunisian crochet washcloth I am working on…

But there is this…

I rolled the projects I made out of the three “Midas” skeins and put them back In the belly bands and passed them off to the daughter of the lady that owns the alpaca farm at church this morning…

Enjoy the rest of your awesome Sunday!
